Innocent Smoothies

An immersive website to promote Innocent Kids smoothies

Nickelodeon and Innocent teamed up to produce the game ‘The Search for the Golden Pineapple’. Brighton agency Tilt were tasked with building the game and they commissioned Kate Jones Design to design the microsite, featuring the familiar Innocent gang, in this fun adventure game.

The microsite

The Innocent Gang’s Search for the Golden Pineapple – sounds epic. It was pretty epic to play the game too. The gang had to negotiate their ‘raspmarine’ through the jellyfish infested waters, whilst picking up fruit, before retrieving the elusive pineapple.

Creating an underwater world

Each page of the microsite showcased the gang deep in the depths of the ocean, with each Innocent character interacting with the environment. Innocent packs poked out of the sea bed and coral walls rose high.

Character design

The gang were to face jellyfish swarms, slippery electric eels and fierce pirates, so it seemed only fitting to kit them out in accessories to help them with their quest to find the Golden Pineapple. Ed had his trusty telescope, whilst Nature Girl could dive to deep depths with her handy snorkel.

The game design

The incredible team at Tilt handled the game design. Kate Jones Design created several of the game screens to get players started.

Banner design

The game was affiliated with Nickelodeon’s Spongebob Squarepants. These guys were essentially the hosts of the promotion, so a set of banners were created featuring the Innocent gang and Spongebob alongside one another. It’s early days, but we’ve heard these guys are friends for life now.
